“After this I will return and rebuild David’s fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it, that the remnant of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who bear my name,’ says the Lord.” (Acts 15:16-17)
Maranatha Worship is a worship gathering with the purpose of restoring the fallen worship of this land and nation, so that the remnant of people and all the Gentiles who bear the name of the Lord may seek Him, just as James quoted the prophecy of Amos in the book of Acts.
What was David’s worship like in the old days? It was an unprecedented worship in Israel, where all of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, came together with one heart and one mind to praise God. God will surely restore this worship of David once again in this land and among this nation. Moreover, this worship is not just for the Jews, but for all Gentiles who wish to seek the Lord. The Jews have the mission of being a kingdom of priests and a light to the Gentiles. The restoration of David’s worship will surely lead many Gentiles to turn to the Lord.
To this end, Maranatha Worship holds monthly gatherings in Jerusalem, Haifa, and Nazareth, inviting churches and believers from all over Israel to worship together. This gathering is not only a prayer for the people of Israel but also for the nations. We hear reports from missionaries working in various unreached people groups, such as Turkey, Iran, and Morocco, and intercede for these nations. We also send out workers of faith who desire to spread the gospel to the nations.
Just as the Jews in the Old Testament were focused on their own people, so too is the Jewish church today. Although Jesus gave the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, the believers who received the Holy Spirit were still gathered in Jerusalem, striving for the revival of the Jews until Acts chapter 15.
“Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!” (Romans 11:11-12)
Amen! Indeed, as the Lord said, we cannot even begin to imagine how much more abundant the fullness of the Jews will bring to the Gentiles. When many Jews rise up and go out to the nations, the Lord will bring about a great revival in the last days, and we believe that the key to this lies with the Jews. Now is the time for the Jews to do missions. Now is the time for the Jews to inherit the nations. Now is the time for them to go out to the nations. We hope that Maranatha Worship will become an outpost for the revival of such soldiers.
In addition, Maranatha Worship is being held in several regions outside of Israel, in Palestine. Despite the fear, pain, and hatred between these two peoples due to the Israel-Hamas war, Palestinian brothers and sisters have begun to love and forgive their Israeli brothers and sisters through Maranatha Worship. The world deceives and incites hatred between them. The world causes them to focus on the land. But through Maranatha Worship, our Palestinian brothers and sisters have begun to look toward the eternal Kingdom of God. Neither politics, diplomacy, military, nor economics can solve this problem. Only our Savior Yeshua is the answer to this problem. We hope that through Maranatha Worship, Israel and Palestine will become one.
Although we are currently holding worship in a few cities once a month, we hope that this worship will spread to more regions like Tel Aviv and Beersheba, and that many young people will join in rebuilding the tent of David. We praise the Lord who will do a new thing in this land and among this nation through Maranatha Worship. Now, the people of Israel and Palestine will stand together as one holy army of the Lord, equipped to bear the final revival. And we hope that our worship will be greatly used for this great work.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! Maranatha!
